I was one of those annoying people who spent most of my 30s in a gym or training in some way, shape, or form. I credit my dedicated exercise habit for why my body was able to birth and naturally (read: vaginally) deliver two healthy babies.
I also credit exercise for giving me a channel for my anxiety and extra free-floating energy. And now that I have a pretty intense new job and am also juggling being a mother of two toddlers and a wife to hubby, it feels like I have no time to devote to exercising anymore. So that energy is just there, swirling around me. And it sucks because I know exercising is a key and crucial element to my living a happy life.
So what should I do?
I looked into joining a gym, but that would mean I would need to work out in the early morning, or evening, both times that would cut into hubby’s only time away from the kids (he’s a stay-at-home dad). I’ve done some YouTube challenges here and there, but I need something that requires more commitment than just opening up my laptop voluntarily. I am looking into some online fitness courses but nothing has clicked so far.
Sigh. I hope to get this sorted out soon, and when I do, I will share with you all my routine to hopefully inspire you as well! And: if anyone has tips on how to get back on the consistent exercising bandwagon, please drop your comments below!
